I first decided to be a Physical Therapist when I was 13 years old. Young? Yes, but I have always had a desire to know how the body works, and how I could make it work better! From that age on, I have only strengthened my passion for helping people feel better by graduating with a Baccalaureate degree in Human Biology from Chadron State College and then receiving my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. Since my graduation in 2004, I have had numerous courses and training specializations including:
-Board Certified in Orthopaedics
-Level I and II training in Intramuscular Therapy (Trigger Dry Needling) from Kinetacore
-Graston Certification
-Specialized training in treatment of Temporomandibular Dysfunction (TMD), or jaw/headache pain
-Kinesiotaping Certification levels I-III
-Philadelphia Symposium on Surgery and Rehabilitation of the Hand
-Previous Certification in Wound Care by the National Alliance of Wound Care
-Certification in the Examination and Treatment of Myofascial Trigger Points
-Fitting and application of Sole Supports custom molded orthotics
As my passion continues to grow, I continue to focus on trainings to be able to give my patient’s the latest and most effective evidence-based treatment for their orthopedic problems.
When I’m not treating my patients, I am enjoying my true passion, my family! I am lucky enough to be married to an amazing woman, Lisa. Together we spend time watching our four boys Logan, Lucas, Mitchell and Benjamin grow up and participate in their many events! We like to enjoy our love of the outdoors together including ice fishing, hunting and hiking/camping. Of course, with four boys, our love of sports changes with the seasons, and keeps us on our toes!
From the first human anatomy course I took in high school, I knew a career in the medical field was meant for me. I found physical therapy to be the perfect combination of helping others feel better and educating people about their bodies so that they can help themselves. After receiving a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Exercise Health Science from good ol’ Nebraska U, I achieved my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2022. I have a passion for all types of PT, ranging from high school return-to-sport, geriatric gait and balance, and everything in between, including the treatment of pelvic floor dysfunctions; but most of all, I have a passion for PEOPLE. As a native of Gering, NE, I am so excited to be able to serve the community that raised me and practice the profession that I love with an excellent team!
When I am not serving others at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband John, my son Warren, and our extended family! We are avid Gering supporters and can be seen at any Speech Competition in the valley. We love exploring the outdoors, kayaking, and playing various yard games with friends and family! Not to mention all the Saturdays spent cheering on the Huskers! GO BIG RED.
Physical Therapy became my career aspiration after tearing my labrum in high school while playing football. I have spent about as much time in PT as I have studying to become a PT. PT allows me to combine all of my favorite careers into one profession: teaching, doctor, and weights coach, which is why I love it. I received my bachelor’s degree in science while playing Defensive End at Chadron State College. I then received my Doctor of Physical Therapy from University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2025.
I love to serve the people of rural Nebraska through PT. I have a “generalist” interest in PT as I have a passion for all areas of PT: from athletes of all ages, to degenerative neurological conditions. While I have no practice area specialty, I specialize in patient care; I love interacting with and taking my very best care of every patient I see.
I am an avid fisher and hunter and am often outdoors with my wife Alexis (who is a pediatric Physical Therapist). I have family in Bridgeport and am usually there hanging out with them. I also have a passion for cooking and playing games with my brothers.
After going through physical therapy in high school and seeing how much of an impact a physical therapist can have on their patients, I knew healthcare was the field for me. While earning a bachelor’s degree from Chadron State College, I worked for Mike as a rehabilitation technician, which inspired me to become a Physical Therapist Assistant. After completing my bachelor's degree, I decided to take on the challenge of a Physical Therapist Assistant program. I worked at Bluffs Physical Therapy full-time as the office/billing manager and was enrolled full-time in the program in order to complete the degree on time. In 2019, I graduated from the Physical Therapist Assistant program through San Juan College. And I am excited to work toward continuing my PT career.
When I am not working, I spend my time with my daughter, Sage, and my son, Jace. We are living our "country living" dream with our dogs and cats. In our free time, we go hunting, fishing, and play games with family and friends!
Growing up, I was always curious about the human body and how the different parts worked. After high school, I watched a few of my friends and coworkers go through physical therapy and watched their progress. When meeting with them and shadowing the physical therapists, I fell in love with the profession and wanted to help people get back on their feet. Following a few years of college, I graduated with an associates degree in Applied Sciences in Physical Therapist Assistant in 2024 from Southeast Community College. Coming out of college, I wanted to move to a small town in Nebraska to get away from the hustle and bustle of Lincoln. That is when I found Scottsbluff and this clinic and fell in love with the area and people. I am excited to start my journey here and to help people get back to normal!
While not working, I love to hang out with family and friends while enjoying the great outdoors. Some of the things I enjoy are hiking, fishing, hunting and shooting trap, skeet, and sporting clays.
From the time I was born, I have been surrounded by sports. Which sparked interest in how the human body heals, adapts, and performs. I knew from a young age I wanted to help people. My first two years of college, I played collegiate softball, where my love grew deeper of becoming a Physical Therapist Assistant from taking Anatomy and Physiology. I obtained an Associates in Exercise Science from Western Nebraska Community College. From there I entered the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Laramie County Community College receiving my license in 2025. I love working with ALL ages and have a passion for pediatrics and neurology. I am so excited to help others grow physically and mentally.
When I am not working, I love to spend time at the gym, hiking, traveling with family and friends, and giving pitching lessons. I am a religious person and attend church on Sundays. My faith is a big part of who I am.
