We are a locally owned, full-service Physical Therapy clinic owned by Michael Moravec, PT, DPT, OCS. We offer a plethora of specialized treatments and are here to serve you! We are devoted to offering the highest quality Physical Therapy in the Panhandle!
I first decided to be a Physical Therapist when I was 13 years old. Young? Yes, but I have always had a desire to know how the body works, and how I could make it work better! From that age on, I have only strengthened my passion for helping people feel better by graduating with a Baccalaureate degree in Human Biology from Chadron State College and then receiving my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. Since my graduation in 2004, I have had numerous courses and training specializations including:
-Board Certified in Orthopaedics
-Level I and II training in Intramuscular Therapy (Trigger Dry Needling) from Kinetacore
-Specialized training in treatment of Temporomandibular Dysfunction (TMD), or jaw/headache pain
-Kinesiotaping Certification levels I-III
-Philadelphia Symposium on Surgery and Rehabilitation of the Hand
-Previous Certification in Wound Care by the National Alliance of Wound Care
-Certification in the Examination and Treatment of Myofascial Trigger Points
-Fitting and application of Sole Supports custom molded orthotics
As my passion continues to grow, I continue to focus on trainings to be able to give my patient’s the latest and most effective evidence-based treatment for their orthopedic problems.
When I’m not treating my patients, I am enjoying my true passion, my family! I am lucky enough to be married to an amazing woman, Lisa. Together we spend time watching our four boys Logan, Lucas, Mitchell and Benjamin grow up and participate in their many events! We like to enjoy our love of the outdoors together including ice fishing, hunting and hiking/camping. Of course, with four boys, our love of sports changes with the seasons, and keeps us on our toes!
After being inspired by a great team of physical therapists in my 30's, I finally decided what I wanted to be when I grew up. I became a non-traditional student and graduated with a Physical Therapist Assistant degree from San Juan College in Farmington, New Mexico. Since my graduation in 2011, I became certified in:
· Kinesiotaping Levels I-III
· Functional Movement Screen Levels I and II
As I continue to grow my skills, I plan to earn my Advanced Proficient Pathways through the American Physical Therapy Association in Orthopedics and Pediatrics. This will allow me to provide my patients with the latest evidence-based care for the best possible outcome.
In my free time, I keep busy with being a mom of two daughters, Chloe and Lydia. It's gratifying to watch them grow into whatever it is teenagers are in to these days! I am blessed to also share my life with a wonderful man who walked into our lives with abounding patience necessary to help with the dramatics of teenage girls! Together, we enjoy our annual tradition of cheering on the Arizona Cardinals at a home game - Go Cards!
When I was a high school athlete, I completed physical therapy for a knee injury. My personal experience is what sparked my interest in the field of physical therapy. After graduating from Gering High School, I attended Laramie County Community College’s Physical Therapist Assistant program. I earned my A.A.S. in Physical Therapist Assistant in 2013 and started my career as a PTA. I began working in Denver until deciding to move back to Cheyenne before returning home to the Scottsbluff/Gering area. I aspire to transition into the field of nursing in the future. I am currently attending college to apply for nursing school next fall.
Outside of work and school, I spend my time with my beautiful daughters, Brooklynn and Braylee. We enjoy spending with our close family and friends. I am excited to be back in my hometown and to see what the future has in store for my little family.
After going through physical therapy in high school and seeing how much of an impact a physical therapist has on their patients I knew healthcare was the field for me. While earning a bachelor’s degree from Chadron State College, I worked for Mike as a rehabilitation technician who inspired me to become a Physical Therapist Assistant. I am currently studying to become a Physical Therapist Assistant through
an online program at San Juan College.
When I am not working and studying, I spend my time with
my amazing husband, Tyler. Together we have three dogs and
two cats to shower with our love. In our free time we go hunting,
fishing and play board games with family and friends!
