"Through my high school and college years I was a competitive long-distance runner. I came back into fitness during my mid-40s eventually becoming an ultra-marathoner, long distance biker and mountain climber. Unfortunately, serious arthritis manifested itself in my right hip and after two years of almost constant pain, I opted for total hip replacement. My surgery was on 28 November 2017. I began my rehap therapy with Mike Moravec four days later. Knowing that I desired to get back to my rigid fitness lifestyle (minus running), Mike put together an aggressive therapy program that challenged me at each and every session. By the second week of working with Mike, I walked un-aided. The exercise progression and hands on therapy were superb. Mike monitored my progress and constantly encouraged me to push myself to an appropriate level. After 30 days, I had my first post-op appointment with my Surgeon. He was impressed with my muscle strength, range of motion and flexibility. He told me “ Thirty more days with your Therapist and you will be ready to hike and bike full force.” He was right, after another 30 days of working with Mike, my Surgeon said that I was good-to-go, could curtail physical therapy and that he didn’t want to see me again for two years! It is now six months since I first started working with Mike Moravec, I’m back to my full exercise schedule and I just completed summitting two 14ers in Colorado during which I felt strong and confident. When it comes to your physical therapy pick the best Therapist in our region, pick Mike Moravec and Bluffs Physcial Therapy, you won’t be disappointed!"
